Chris Mandaleris is a Senior Deputy Director in the Division of Registration and Inspections. He is responsible for the operations of the Global Network Firm Inspection Program which executes inspections on the largest domestic registered accounting firms and their non-U.S. affiliates. Prior to serving in his current role, Mr. Mandaleris led non-U.S. affiliate firm inspections all over the world and led domestic inspection teams. From 2003 – 2008, Mr. Mandaleris was Deputy Director of the National Office where he assisted in opening regional offices and served an important role in the building of much of the inspections infrastructure/programs that the Division has in place today. Mr. Mandaleris joined the PCAOB in 2003.
Prior to joining the PCAOB, Mr. Mandaleris spent 25 years with Ernst & Young LLP and retired as partner in June 2002. While at Ernst & Young, he was selected to serve in the New York National Office accounting and auditing group for an 18 month residency program before helping to open the Greensboro, North Carolina office in 1987.
Mr. Mandaleris is a graduate of the University of Virginia and received a M.S. in business with a concentration in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a certified public accountant.
