Colleen Brennan, director of the Office of Public Affairs, oversees the handling of all media inquiries and press matters. She joined the PCAOB in February 2007, after six years as director of communications for Promontory Financial Group, a financial services compliance consultancy founded by Eugene Ludwig, former U.S. Comptroller of the Currency.
Previously, she served at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as special assistant to the Chairman for Policy and deputy to the Chief of Staff. Before that, she worked at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as a special assistant to the Acting Comptroller and earlier, as an analyst in the Economic and Policy Analysis division. Prior to these regulatory positions, Brennan was a Washington financial reporter at National Journal's CongressDaily and the Bureau of National Affairs Banking Report.
She earned an A.B. from Cornell University and an M.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
