Gregory S. Wilson joined the PCAOB in January 2005 as Deputy Director in the Division of Registration and Inspections, leading the Chicago regional office. He also serves a national role in leading the development and oversight of inspection activities for audits of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), PCAOB Auditing Standard No. 5.

Prior to joining the PCAOB, Mr. Wilson worked in the audit practice at Ernst & Young in Chicago, from 1969 to his retirement in December 2003. He was the audit partner for a variety of global publicly owned businesses, primarily in the manufacturing, retail and distribution industries. In addition, he also held a number of management positions, including Regional Director of Human Resources and Director of Audit Services in the Lake Michigan Area office (Chicago, Milwaukee, and Grand Rapids). Mr. Wilson graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Accountancy. He is a certified public accountant.
