Jana Hranaiova is the Deputy Chief Economist in the Office of Research and Analysis. Ms. Hranaiova oversees quantitative research and analysis projects, including building quantitative predictive models to support the Inspections Program and conducting research studies on topics in accounting and auditing of interest to the Board and other divisions. She joined the PCAOB in 2005 as a senior financial economist. During 2008, she served as Acting Chief Economist.
Prior to joining PCAOB, Ms. Hranaiova worked at the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a financial economist in the Chief Economist Office. Before joining the CFTC, Ms. Hranaiova was an assistant professor of Finance at the University of New Mexico.
Ms. Hranaiova earned a Ph.D. in Finance and Applied Economics from Cornell University and a Masters in Science in Agricultural Economics from Penn State University. She received a B.A. from Comenius University in Slovakia.
