Mark B. West is Deputy Director of the Division of Registration and Inspections and Regional Director of the Denver, Col. office. He joined the PCAOB in 2004.

Mr. West started his career in public accounting in 1974 with Arthur Andersen in Kansas City, Mo. He left in 1977 to join F.B. Kubik & Company, a large local firm in Wichita, Kan. Mr. West served on various committees on accounting and auditing issues, with the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants (KSCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Financial Accounting Standard Board’s Emerging Issues Task Force. He was active in the peer-review process, serving as Chairman of the KSCPA Peer Review Committee, a committee member of the AICPA Peer Review Committee, and Team Captain of other peer reviews.

Mr. West earned a B.A. in accounting from Wichita State University. He is a certified public accountant.
