Patricia Ledesma, Ph.D., program leader and chief economist, research and economic tools of the Center for Economic Analysis, identifies and conducts research on auditing matters and supervises and directs the Center staff. She is the inaugural program leader, named to the post when the center first began operations in January 2014.
Prior to joining the PCAOB, Ledesma spent 14 years at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. She was named an assistant dean and director of research support in 2008. She also served as a lecturer, director of research computing, and senior research associate during her tenure at Northwestern. Earlier in her career, she worked as an economist at Apoyo Consultoria, a consulting firm in Peru, and as a research associate at the University of Notre Dame.
Ledesma earned a B.A. in social sciences at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in Lima, Peru, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame.
