Mary Moore Hamrick, Director
Ms. Hamrick joined the PCAOB in July 2003 after nine years with New York Life Insurance Co., where she was Vice President, heading the company’s Washington, D.C. governmental affairs office. While with New York Life, she served a term as Chairman of the American Council of Life Insurers’ Federal Legislative Strategy Group. Previously, Ms. Hamrick was Minority Counsel to the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce from 1990 to 1994, dealing with insurance and product safety issues, among others. Ms. Hamrick was an investments representative with Morgan Stanley & Co. for three years. She began her career as an Account Executive with a sports marketing firm in Cleveland, Ohio. Ms. Hamrick received her bachelor’s degree cum laude from Duke University in 1980 and her J.D. and MBA degrees from the University of North Carolina in 1987. She is admitted to practice law in North Carolina.
