The Careers pages require that cookies and SSL 3.0 are enabled. These are widely supported by most browsers and enabled by default. Use the information below to check your settings. In some instances, you may be required to restart your browser for any changes to take effect.

Cookies

The Careers section requires that a cookie be used to access these pages. This cookie is used only by the PCAOB Careers Web site and includes no personal information.

Use the directions that follow to set your browser to allow cookies:

Internet Explorer 6 or 7:

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Click the Default button (or manually slide the bar down to 'Medium').
  5. Click the OK button.

Firefox 2 or 3:

  1. Click the Tools menu. (On a Mac, click the Firefox menu.)
  2. Select Options. (On a Mac, select Preferences.)
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Select the 'Accept cookies from sites' checkbox.
  5. Click the OK button.

Google Chrome:

  1. Click the wrench menu.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Click the Under the Hood tab and find the 'Privacy' section.
  4. In the 'Cookie settings' drop-down menu, select Allow all cookies.
  5. Click Close.

Safari 3:

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Click Security.
  4. In the 'Accept Cookies' section, select Always.

SSL 3.0

SSL allows information to be transferred securely over the Internet through the use of encryption. SSL 3.0 is the latest version which uses much stronger encryption than SSL 2.0. If you are unable to reach the careers pages, use the directions that follow to ensure your browser has SSL 3.0 enabled.

Internet Explorer 6 or 7:

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Security heading, near the bottom of the list.
  4. Ensure Use SSL 3.0 is checked.
  5. Click Ok to return to the browser main page.
  6. Exit and relaunch the browser.

Firefox 2 or 3:

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select Options. (On a Mac, go to the Firefox menu and select Preferences.)
  2. Select the Advanced panel.
  3. Click the Encryption tab.
  4. Ensure Use SSL 3.0 is checked.
  5. Click Ok to return to the browser main page.
