G. Alan Skinner

Alan Skinner is a deputy director in the Division of Registration and Inspections. He oversees the operations of the Non-Affiliated Firm Inspection Program, which conducts inspections of domestic and non-U.S. registered accounting firms that are not associated with the Global Network Firm Inspection Program.

Mr. Skinner joined the PCAOB in December 2003, and led inspections of large and small domestic firms. In December 2005, he left the PCAOB to join a regional accounting firm as a quality control partner, and rejoined the board in December 2009, as an associate director in the Division of Registration and Inspections.

Earlier, Mr. Skinner was a senior manager in the audit practice of Ernst & Young, where he began his career in 1990.

He earned a B.A. in Industrial Engineering, and an M.S. in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a certified public accountant.
