Katherine S. Driscoll

Katherine S. Driscoll is special counsel to Board Member James G. Kaiser and advises him on all matters that come before the board.

Ms. Driscoll joined the PCAOB in May 2018, after 10 years at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, where she served in a number of capacities, most recently as associate chief counsel in the Division of Swap Dealer & Intermediary Oversight. She played a substantial role in the CFTC's implementation of Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act regarding over-the-counter derivatives.

In 2013, Ms. Driscoll served as counsel to former CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler, advising him on key matters before the CFTC. Before moving into these policy roles, she was a senior trial attorney in the Division of Enforcement.

Before joining the CFTC, Ms. Driscoll practiced commercial litigation at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, and earlier, at Seward & Kissel LLP. She is a graduate of Hamilton College and received her J.D. from Fordham Law School.
