Preeti Choudhary

Senior Economic Research Fellow (2015-2016) 

Preeti Choudhary was a senior economic research fellow in the Center for Economic Analysis, now the Office of Economic and Risk Analysis, at the PCAOB between June 2015 and December 2016. She is a professor of accounting at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona, and previously was an assistant professor in the accounting department at the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University.

Professor Choudhary's research interests include the effects of variation in financial reporting on capital markets, debt and equity investor valuation assessments, and financial reporting outcomes. She is an expert on financial reporting for employee stock options, leases, and taxes, and her work has been presented at, or published in, many leading accounting conferences and journals.

Professor Choudhary's professional experience includes roles at Deloitte and Touche LLP in enterprise risk services and at The Washington Post Company (now Graham Holdings Company) in internal audit.

She earned a B.S. in commerce and an M.S. in accounting from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. from Duke University.
