Erin Dwyer is the deputy director of the Office of External Affairs and serves as the stakeholder liaison to investors, audit committees, and preparers. In this role, she has an ongoing dialogue with key stakeholders of the PCAOB, assisting the Board in achieving the transparency and outreach goals outlined in its strategic plan.

Prior to joining the PCAOB in 2019, Ms. Dwyer served as managing director of stakeholder engagement and communications at the Center for Audit Quality, where she led strategic initiatives to build and strengthen relationships with key capital markets participants and governance leaders. 

Ms. Dwyer began her career as a sell-side analyst on Prudential Financial’s equity research team. Since then, she has spent over two decades developing holistic outreach and communications strategies and identifying partnership and business development opportunities for investment, corporate, government and legal clients.

Ms. Dwyer earned her B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University in Durham North Carolina and completed the Corporate Governance executive education program through the Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance at New York University School of Law.
