Jefferey Bailey

Special Counsel to Chairman William D. Duhnke

Jefferey Bailey is special counsel to Chairman William D. Duhnke, and advises him on all matters that come before the board. Previously, he was special counsel to Board Member Lewis H. Ferguson.

Prior to joining the PCAOB in 2017, Mr. Bailey practiced law for nine years at Williams & Connolly LLP, where he focused on representing individuals and entities in professional liability matters. Mr. Bailey also served as a law clerk to Judge Carlos F. Lucero of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Before practicing law, Mr. Bailey was a manager at Ernst & Young LLP in its Business Risk Services practice.  He was at EY from 2001 to 2006, and performed value-added internal auditing services, and advised clients on internal control-related issues.

Mr. Bailey earned a B.S. from Brigham Young University, majoring in finance. He received a J.D. with Highest Honors from The George Washington University Law School, where he was the senior projects editor for The George Washington Law Review.
