Jennifer L. Gibbons

Jennifer L. Gibbons is Board Counsel to Board Member Anthony C. Thompson and advises him on all matters that come before the Board.

Ms. Gibbons was most recently an Associate Director, Attorney in the Division of Enforcement and Investigations (DEI) where she investigated potential violations of PCAOB rules and standards. While at the PCAOB, Ms. Gibbons also served on a rotational assignment as a board counsel to Board Member Duane M. DesParte. Ms. Gibbons joined the PCAOB in 2014 as a Counsel in DEI.

Before joining the PCAOB, Ms. Gibbons worked for Williams & Connolly LLP, where she focused her practice on civil litigation. Before practicing law, Ms. Gibbons worked in the Corporate Reporting group at American Express. Prior to that she was a senior manager at a public accounting firm, where she audited global financial institutions. Her public accounting experience includes nearly four years working on an international assignment in London.

Ms. Gibbons has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona and Bachelors of Science in accountancy and political science from Northern Arizona University. Ms. Gibbons is licensed to practice law in Arizona and the District of Columbia and is a certified public accountant in New York.
