Michael Plotnick

Michael Plotnick is the Chief Trial Counsel in the Division of Enforcement and Investigations. As the Chief Trial Counsel, Mr. Plotnick oversees the division's litigation program.
Mr. Plotnick joined the PCAOB in 2006 and has led a number of investigations and adjudications of auditors' failures to comply with PCAOB standards.
Before joining the PCAOB, he spent more than eight years as an attorney with the international law firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. While at WilmerHale, Mr. Plotnick focused on securities enforcement and commercial litigation.
Mr. Plotnick earned a B.A. in political science, cum laude, from Tufts University and a J.D. with highest honors from the George Washington University School of Law.
