Todd L. Cranford is Counsel to Board Member Anthony C. Thompson and advises him on all matters that come before the Board.
Mr. Cranford was most recently the Head of Government Affairs & External Relations for the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) where he developed and executed strategies to advance the public policy objectives of the FAF, the Financial Accounting Standards Board, and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board through engagement with Members of Congress and stakeholders.
Mr. Cranford has more than 20 years of financial services experience gained in both the public and private sectors, including having worked on Capitol Hill as senior counsel to the Committee on Financial Services, senior counsel in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement, and was Of Counsel at Patton Boggs, LLP. Mr. Cranford also served as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Anna Diggs Taylor.
Mr. Cranford earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his law degree from the Columbia Law School.
