Torrie Miller Matous
Chief of Staff for the PCAOB
Torrie Miller Matous was named Chief of Staff for the PCAOB by Chairman William D. Duhnke effective March 1, 2020. In this role, she advises the Chairman on all matters that come before the PCAOB, works closely with Board Members and staff, and assists the Chairman in his management of the organization.
Previously, Ms. Matous served as the Director of the PCAOB's Office of External Affairs, which advances the Board's communications, government relations, and outreach efforts. The office includes a liaison for investors, audit committees, and preparers.
Prior to joining the PCAOB in 2018, Ms. Matous served as Chief of Staff for Congressman Martha Roby, where she was her top adviser and led all policy, communications, and political strategy activities. Earlier, she was the Communications Director for Senator Richard Shelby, serving as majority or minority Communications Director for several committees during that time – the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, and the Committee on Rules and Administration. Ms. Matous also worked for Congressman Pete Sessions where she served as Communications Director for his personal office as well as the House Committee on Rules.
Ms. Matous earned her B.A. in Political Science and her B.A. in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs with honors from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
