He held a variety of senior SEC positions, including assistant director in the Division of Investment Management, where he managed a staff that worked on a range of complex rulemaking projects. Mr. Jones also served as counsel to two chairmen of the SEC, and as special counsel in the Office of General Counsel. He received several awards for his SEC service. Prior to the SEC, Jones was an attorney in private practice.
Mr. Jones earned an A.B. from Princeton University, magna cum laude, and a J.D. from Columbia University Law School, where he founded the Columbia Business Law Review.
