Timothy P. Sikes is the Chief of Firm Inspections in the Division of Registration and Inspections. He is responsible for overseeing all inspections programs and inspection related teams that conduct inspections of registered accounting firms in connection with the firms' performance of audits, issuance of audit reports, and related matters involving issuers, and brokers and dealers. He reports to the Director of the Division of Registration and Inspections and was named to the position in December 2024.
Since joining the PCAOB in 2004, Mr. Sikes has worked in a number of different areas of the PCAOB inspection programs. For the Global Network Firm Inspections program, Mr. Sikes has extensive experience conducting inspections of non-U.S. affiliate firms in numerous jurisdictions, and he has worked extensively with a number of different foreign regulators. He also served as the U.S. Team Leader for inspections of a global network firm. Most recently, Mr. Sikes served as a Deputy Director in the Division of Registrations and Inspections and was the program leader for the Non-Affiliated Firm Inspections program.
Prior to joining the PCAOB, Mr. Sikes worked primarily with a global network firm in Louisiana, Texas, and Colorado. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA, and is a certified public accountant.
