Forums on Auditing in the Small Business Environment and Forums for Auditors of Broker-Dealers

Forum on Auditing in the Small Business Environment

The Forum on Auditing in the Small Business Environment is a program for representatives of the small business community to learn more about the work of the Board, specifically the PCAOB inspection process and the impact of new auditing standards. Auditors from smaller registered public accounting firms are invited to attend. The seminars, which are offered at no cost to attendees, give participants the chance to learn about and discuss PCAOB issues with Board members and staff.

Forum for Auditors of Broker-Dealers

Forums for Auditors of Broker-Dealers are live one-day sessions open to members of PCAOB-registered firms that audit broker-dealers. Attendees have the opportunity to learn about standards and rules related to broker-dealer audit and attestation engagements. The forums include discussions related to PCAOB inspection observations, standard setting, and enforcement matters and also include presentations from staff of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Attendees have the opportunity to earn continuing professional education credits, interact with presenters, and pose questions. Certain forums also provide the opportunity to participate remotely via live stream. There is no fee to attend, but advance registration is required.
