PCAOB Investor Advisory Group to Meet March 16

Washington, D.C., Mar. 3, 2011

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board announced today that the next meeting of the Investor Advisory Group (IAG) will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011.

"This is the first opportunity, since the appointment of three new Board Members, for advisory group members to present their priorities and make their views known to the PCAOB,” said Board Member Steven B. Harris, Chairman of the Investor Advisory Group.

Topics identified for discussion by IAG members include the audit lessons to be drawn from the financial crisis, possible amendments to the auditor's report, and the implications of global networks for audit firm governance.

The PCAOB created the IAG in July 2009 to provide a forum specifically for the Board to obtain the views of, and advice from, the broad investor community on auditor oversight matters affecting investors.

The meeting agenda will be available on the PCAOB Web site by Monday, March 14, 2011, and distributed through the PCAOB listserv and RSS feed.

The meeting will be held at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza, located at 1001 14th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., 20005. It will be open to the public, Webcast live on the PCAOB Web site and available later by podcast. More information about the advisory group is available on the Investor Advisory Group page on the Web site.
