Board Announces Standing Advisory Group Meeting to Discuss PCAOB Auditing Standard No. 2

Washington, D.C., May 26, 2005

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board announced today that it has scheduled a Standing Advisory Group meeting to discuss various topics related to the implementation of PCAOB Auditing Standard No. 2, an Audit of Internal Control over Financial Reporting Performed in Conjunction with an Audit of Financial Statements.

The group will meet on Wednesday, June 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Thursday, June 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC.

In an effort to gather additional information about the implementation of Auditing Standard No. 2, the Board has invited representatives from public companies, accounting firms and small businesses to participate in panel discussions regarding their experiences with audits of companies' internal control over financial reporting.
