Carol Swaniker

Carol Swaniker is Deputy Director in the Division of Registration and Inspections, responsible for the registration program. She oversees all aspects of the registration and reporting process for public accounting firms. She was named to this post in May 2018.

Ms. Swaniker joined the PCAOB in 2005 and led domestic and international inspections of global network firms until 2009, when she became a regional coordinator for non-affiliate firm inspections.

Prior to joining the PCAOB, she worked at KPMG in London, Philadelphia, and New York. She is a graduate of Southampton University in the United Kingdom, and has a B.S. with honors in accounting and law.

She is a certified public accountant, a chartered accountant, and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
