Patrick J. Schorno is the Deputy Chief Economist, Modeling and Risk Analysis in the Office of Economic and Risk Analysis (OERA). In this role, he is responsible for the creation and further development of quantitative and qualitative tools used to recommend targets for PCAOB’s audit inspections and investigations programs, and for the analysis and communication of likely emerging audit risks.
Prior to joining the PCAOB, Dr. Schorno was an Executive Director at Ally Financial responsible for oversight of the consumer modeling data strategy, as well as researching, developing, and implementing quantitative models. He previously worked as a manager in KPMG’s financial risk management advisory practice and as a financial economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
Dr. Schorno holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, as well as an M.S. in analytical finance from Lehigh University.
