Prior to his current role, Mr. Serafini was an Assistant Director in the PCAOB’s Office of International Affairs where he helped facilitate the PCAOB’s oversight on non-U.S. auditors through bilateral protocols, coordination with non-U.S. regulators, and overcoming obstacles to accessing information.
Prior to his time at the PCAOB, Mr. Serafini held roles in the public and private sectors focused on capital markets law and public policy. Previously, Mr. Serafini worked for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the U.S. Trade Representative, and the U.S. Senate. In the private sector, he advised clients on derivatives and securities matters and had an in-house role at a financial market infrastructure company.
Mr. Serafini holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law and B.A. in international relations and economics from Beloit College in Wisconsin.
