Colleen Honigsberg was a senior economic research​ fellow in the Office of Economic and Risk Analysis from 2017 to June 2018. She is an assistant professor at Stanford Law School, where her research is focused on the empirical study of corporate and securities law.

Professor Honigsberg's recent papers have looked at the role creditors play in investment policy, the effects of hedge fund regulation, and the relationship between legal liability and audit quality. Her research has been published in leading academic journals​ and featured in major publications, such as The EconomistThe Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times.

Professor Honigsberg has expertise in accounting and previously worked as a certified public accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services and for Compass Lexecon.​

She​ received a Ph.D. from Columbia Business School and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. ​
