At May 13 Open Meeting, PCAOB to Consider Proposed Rule to Provide Framework for HFCAA Determinations
The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) will hold an open meeting on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. ET.
At the meeting, the Board will consider proposing for public comment a rule that would provide a framework for the PCAOB to use when determining—as contemplated under the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act (HFCAA)—whether the Board is unable to inspect or investigate completely registered public accounting firms located in a foreign jurisdiction because of a position taken by one or more authorities in that jurisdiction.
