PCAOB Schedules Teleconference Calls to Answer Questions from Firms about the Technology Implementation of Form AP

WASHINGTON, Aug. 2, 2016

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board today announced the dates for three teleconference calls to answer questions from registered firms about their technology implementation of Form AP, Auditor Reporting of Certain Audit Participants.

The calls are scheduled to take place:

  • August 15, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. EDT
  • August 24, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (noon) EDT
  • September 14, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. EDT

PCAOB information technology staff will discuss the filing of the new form, which firms are required to use to comply with Board rules for the disclosure of names of engagement partners beginning January 31, 2017, and other accounting firms that participated in audits of public companies beginning June 30, 2017.

The calls are intended to address questions about the process for submitting an individual Form AP using a web form or submitting multiple forms at once using XML. Other than questions posed by listeners, the content of the calls will generally be the same. Information about the rule itself will not be discussed.

The calls are open only to PCAOB-registered firms and firms are required to sign up in advance using this form.

PCAOB IT staff will respond to questions submitted in advance and firms are encouraged to submit questions. Questions may be submitted through the sign-up form for the call or, once signed up, by replying to the email invitation to the call sent by the PCAOB to registered firms.

Information about how to access the calls will be provided to participants shortly before the call dates.
