PCAOB Shares Perspective from 2020 Conversations with Audit Committee Chairs
Today the PCAOB released a new publication, 2020 Conversations with Audit Committee Chairs(PDF).
As part of our strategic goal of enhancing transparency and accessibility through proactive stakeholder engagement, in 2020 we reached out to the audit committee chairs of most of the U.S. public companies whose audits we inspected and offered them the opportunity to speak with us. In total, we spoke to nearly 300 audit committee chairs.
Summarizing perspectives that we received through this engagement, 2020 Conversations with Audit Committee Chairs focuses on three core topics:
- The auditor and communications with the audit committee;
- New auditing and accounting standards; and
- Emerging technologies.
Please contact Stakeholder Liaison Erin Dwyer if you have feedback on this resource or if you would like to engage further with us. More resources and updates from the PCAOB can be found on our Information for Audit Committees page.
