PCAOB to Consider Adopting Auditing Standard on Communications with Audit Committees

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has scheduled an open meeting for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, to consider adopting an auditing standard, Communications with Audit Committees, and other amendments to PCAOB standards. 

The Board initially proposed the standard on March 29, 2010, and re-proposed the standard on Dec. 20, 2011.  The proposed standard was revised in response to comments received in comment letters and at a roundtable on Sept. 21, 2010.

The meeting is open to the public and will take place in the Board’s meeting room at 1666 K St. N.W., Washington, D.C.  A webcast via a link on the PCAOB website will be made available the day of the meeting. The meeting also will be available via podcast later in the day.
