PCAOB to Hold Open Meeting April 12 to Consider Proposing New Requirements for an Auditor's Use of Other Auditors
The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board today announced an Open Meeting for Tuesday, April 12, at 10 a.m., to consider proposing new requirements that would apply to audits that involve accounting firms or accountants outside the firm issuing the audit report.
In many audits, important audit work is performed by accounting firms or individual accountants outside the firm issuing the audit report. This proposal would address the lead auditor's responsibilities with respect to those other auditors that participate in the audit.
The meeting is open to the public and will take place in the Board's meeting room at 1666 K Street NW, Washington, DC. A live webcast via a link on the PCAOB website will be made available the day of the meeting and available in the archive the next day.
